Our State has proclaimed Mississippi as the birthplace of the Blues and for the past 31 years, we have been hosting the Mississippi Gulf Coast Annual Blues and Heritage Festival which will take place on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at the Jackson County Fairgrounds. Annual Festivals are enjoyed across Mississippi; Clarksdale, Jackson, Laurel, and Pascagoula. Each year we present Legendary Blues artists, New artists as well as local talents from across Mississippi and the Southern Region. The task is daunting because of the general cost for such an endeavor: entertainment, advertisement, venue, security and etc.
It is our desire to make this festival a premier event, to become a destination tour spot for the Mississippi Gulf Coast and with your help, it can be done. We are requesting your financial support for this year’s event. We hope we can count on your support.
Mississippi Gulf Coast Blues Commission, Inc., is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. Our mission from its inception is to preserve this native art culture. We strive to enhance the Gulf Coast community’s quality of life by keeping the music viable and alive by promoting and preserving Blues Music.
